Established in 1991, the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (RCINJ) is the only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in New Jersey and one of only 41 nationwide. As part of this elite group of centers nationwide, RCINJ is a leader in laboratory, clinical, prevention, and population research. RCINJ delivers advanced comprehensive care to adults and children and conducts cutting edge cancer research.

The Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey is located in New Brunswick and houses both adult and pediatric outpatient services and state-of-the-art laboratories. Scientists and physicians are in constant interaction to ensure patients are receiving the most current and promising treatments.

The caring environment that has been RCINJ’s hallmark from the beginning is evident throughout its facility. A special effort was made to configure the patient care setting to create the feel of a much smaller institution – from the intimate clinic waiting rooms to the comfortable Resource and Learning Center, where patients and their families can review the latest information on advanced therapies and new clinical trials.

Top-notch scientists at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey are at the forefront of developing methods to treat and prevent cancer, engaging in translational research, transforming their laboratory discoveries into clinical practice and quite literally bringing research to life.
